The range is a well kept 600 to 200 meters using the Electronic
Targetry on the converted gallery range. Situated at Beckingham
between Newark and Sleaford.
For those of you who have not attended this shoot it’s well
worth doing so. There is tea & coffee available all day as are
bacon butties, cakes etc all proceeds going toward the same fund.
The day is shot entirely on ETR so no butts crew.
As with the majority of converted gallery ranges the targetry consists
of a figure 11 and a figure 12.
There will be a trophy or medals for the following
Classes:-
TOP OVERALL SCORE – “The Russell Harris
Memorial Trophy” All classes.
TOP HISTORIC – “Any SMLE / No. 4 / No.
5 rifle, service pattern as issued, with no attachments”.
TOP ANY IRON – “Any rifle with iron sights,
with no restriction on slings (but rests may not be used)”.
TOP ANY OPTIC SERVICE – “Any rifle with
optic sights with no restriction on slings. Rests may not be used.
The rifle magazine may touch or rest on the forearm or on the ground.
(Any forward vertical grip, if fitted, may not be used).”
TOP ANY OPTIC OPEN - "Any rifle with optic sights,
with no restriction on slings or rests. If any rest is utilised it
must remain fitted to the rifle at all times during the match".
Medals: 2nd & 3rd Overal., Top Lady, Top Tyro, Top Veteran (Competitors
of 50 or older).
