NRA
Open Day & 2010 PR/CSR Season
The NRA will be holding the 2nd Open day of the year on 11th Sep.
I know some of you are already working with LPSC and LERA at the
event. However, I would like you to spread the word to those that
can attend for whichever group.
We have the whole of Butt 12 to run; we are the busiest Full-Bore
rifle group at the day. Our absence is very much noted and doesn’t
help our standing with the NRA.
Other Notes:
This coming CSR / PR season is, as of this e-mail, not finalised.
There were some H&S issues raised about PR /CSR events at Bisley,
which are still ongoing, and potentially effect entry costs and
availability of ranges / targets.
I hope to be able to get these tidied away soon, and the programme
published.
I intend to push for a format similar to last season. However, there
will be some dates where PR courses of fire only will be utilised.
Chris Keller and Steve Sheldon are producing some shoots which are
suitable and relevant to the ranges we will have available.
During the Imperial Meeting I hope to be able to get an extra day,
the first one of the ‘Match Week’ as a stand alone PR
event.
This will ideally be based on the Matches fired on the PR days (As
with the rest of the Imperial it will be mid-week, so be prepared
to take time off work!).
The Methuen will hopefully be moved to the last day of the ‘week’
to allow more to compete (We will try to get this event on a weekend).
I would like to address the ‘I only shoot PR’ shooters;
this year we are trying to add something just for you!
I would ask that you appreciate the efforts we are trying to undertake
and to help out where you can.
If the events are not supported then they will not run, it is that
simple.
Regards,
Paul Hunter
